Rising Students (Cuttack) beat Rameswar Sporting (Bhubaneswar) in the exciting final by two wickets to win the Niali Cup Cricket Tournament at Niali yesterday.
The champion side received the top prize of Rs 7,000. The tournament was organised by Maa Kutamchandi Cricket Association.
Brief scores: Rameswar Sporting 183/4 in 20 overs (Partha Sarathi Patnaik 65, Paresh Patel 37) lost to Rising Students 184/8 in 19.5 overs (Santosh Sethi 47, A Singh 31, Biplab Samantaray 29: Jayant Pradhan 4 wkts, Paresh Patel 2 wkts).
